Pantothenic acid, also known as vitamin B5, is a water-soluble vitamin and primarily known as an anti-inflammatory.
Function & Details
The requirement of 6 mg / day is normally met by our regular diet. Under-supply is very rare, but may occur in connection with, for example, bowel disease, alcohol abuse or chronic infections.
The main functions of vitamin B5 in the human body include defending against stress by producing corticoids such as cortisol, energy production, fat reduction and efficient use of fat and body tissue formation.
