Already in 1906 innkeeper Josef Starzinger began bottling beverages, thus laying the foundation for a family business with solid growth and foresight. But as of the Second World War, the company increasingly focused on co-packing and private labelling and impresses with its long-term experience and competency in this sector. The beverage group Starzinger is an Austrian flagship enterprise.
The company owes it impressive growth to KR August Starzinger, who took over the business from his father in 1977. In 2010, he handed the business to his daughter Ludmilla Starzinger, who since then has been assuming overall responsibility in the fourth generation. Today, the beverage group Starzinger is one of the biggest producers of non-alcoholic beverages and one of the first that spring to mind as a bottler for the international markets. 250 staff in 6 Austrian locations with four PET-bottling plants, 3 glass bottling plants and 3 can plants fill some 180,000 units per hour.
In addition to three high-quality mineral water sources, positioned in the market as Frankenmarkter mineral water, JUVINA and Long Life, the beverage group Starzinger also acquired the Austrian traditional lemonade Schartner Bombe in 1995 and restored it to become the strong brand it once was. Two own breweries complete the diverse product range of company-owned brand-name products in the market.
